The Grid

I am writing this post after multiple visits to The Grid and its fast become a favorite place to hang out not just because of the ambiance and vibe but the delicious food served up by Chef Chiranjib Chatterjee and his Team. The brainchild of Gourav and Ritika Karnani spread across 10,000 square feet and designed by Ayaz Basrai it has an eclectic vibe that I really enjoy. The Lego freak in me loves the Lego Bar and with the Brewery ready to serve its Beer from 25th February onwards I suggest you drop by sooner rather than later and experience the fun yourself.

The Grid offers Global Cuisine and has something to please every palette. Feta Crumbles and Marinated Melon Salad, Juhu Gymkhana Coriander Noodles, Bhindibazar Chicken Tikka , Dry Sriracha Chilli Chicken , Fresh Green Chilli Prawns , Mini Pork Samosas are some of the dishes I have ordered and happily reordered. The Guptaji Toast one of their signature desserts tastes wonderful and is something to leave space for because it’s a large sharing portion.

The Cocktails are innovative and wonderfully presented my favorite being the Skull Jamaican Candy made with Rum , Baileys Irish Cream and served with a Nolen Gur Sandesh which was really super and a must order. Their Long Island Iced Tea which I tasted from a friend was also spot on. The other Cocktails all looked wonderful but I did not taste them but my co-diners seemed to enjoy them.

The Grid has also started a really lovely Sunday Brunch for families where they offer over 70 items. The idea behind it was that Sunday Lunch with family is always special and I wholeheartedly concur because I cherish all the wonderful Sunday Lunches I have enjoyed with my parents and extended family over the years. I attended the brunch as a guest of The Management and it was a delightful afternoon with some delicious food and lots of laughter. The spread with a variety comprising of Salads, Cold cuts, Chaats, Starters, Main course and Deserts was huge. There were dishes available both buffet style and on direct order from the kitchen. The variety made it impossible to taste everything on offer but in particular I really liked the Pizza with Assorted Toppings, Chicken Picatta, Green Chilli Prawns, Manipuri Machhi Pakora, Irani Berry Pulao, Mishti Doi with Rabri , Fresh Waffles made to order and Aflatoon which I was rather delighted to discover in the Dessert Section. All this food was paired with some lovely Sangria and Sparkling Wine which my co-diners enjoyed. I particularly liked that they have gone out of their way to make sure their little guests have a blast right from the food where they have a special kids section to the costumed cartoon characters who interact and entertain the little ones … it’s a super fun fiesta for the family. Another lovely touch are the timings which extend from 12noon till 6pm …. Perfect for a lazy Sunday morning followed by an afternoon of family bonding over some delicious food.

The energy and buzz that The Grid has makes it stand out from the crowd. The portion sizes are generous  I also really like the music they play and the warm smiling service that I have received on my various visits. Looking forward to more delightful meals at The Grid soon and yes I can’t wait to go try out the Brewery.
